Cro Cop to Fight Mighty Mo at DREAM 10

Despite his recent claims that he hasn't signed a deal with DREAM (and despite UFC President Dana White and DREAM executive Mike Kogan's claims that he did), Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic (25-6-2) has agreed to fight Siala "Mighty Mo" Siliga (3-1) at DREAM.10 on July 20.

The news comes from SI.com's Josh Gross, who cited a "source familiar with (the) negotiations."

As of Thursday afternoon, the Japanese-based DREAM organization had yet to announce the bout is part of DREAM.10, which takes place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

However, with the event now just a month away, a formal announcement should come soon.

"Cro Cop" spurned UFC officials (and many fans) when he negotiated a return to the UFC at UFC 99 in Cologne, Germany, earlier this month. Filipovic went 1-2 during his initial stint in the UFC in 2007 and then left the organization to compete in DREAM last year.

dream has already got some very good names fighting in its ranks, cro cop is a true legend of the art and towards the end of his career so he needs fights and money, good on him for looking after himself after giving his life to the sport

Wow you left the ufc to fight some fat over weight fighter. mirko cro cop is irrelevant until he fights in the ufc long then 1 fight and the fighter has to be either a up and coming fighter or a top level fighter

The only reason he is going to Dream is because the next time the UFC would let him fight is in 6 months which is way too long for him. Hes getting old so he wants as many fights as he can before he has nothing left in him. I think after he will come back to the UFC again tho lol.

It's just like wrestling, Dana White is Vince Macmahon and he wants a monopoly and that's a fine goal but it's not realistic, not everyone want's to live on his schedule, if CroCop wants to keep fighting more often then let him why does it have to be some large soap, just let him fight, if he gets hurt then he looses money it's that simple. Everyone needs to relax and stop taking sides as if you're going to benefit from it, you can still watch CroCop fights no matter where he fights and I say that as a fan of the fighters, I don't give a flying fuck about the organizations, i follow fighters because those are the people that matter to me.

If any of you were Crocop, you would move to DREAM as well. They probably pay more as well as he could fight at more events like the guy said above. Also he wouldn't be fighting top level competition 90% of the time like he would in the UFC. Sounds like a sweet deal to me.

hay guys,i know that everybody agree with ufc about thier policy on fighters to fight every six month which is a good idea,but there has to be some options for the fighters who get more damage and the ones who dont get damage at all ...if a fighter dont get damage in a fight and if the doctors verify it , then they should let them fight in two months than waiting for another six month only if they are physicaly prepared

that is true but u have too look at this point a view the reason why ufc fighters dont fight as much is more u fight less of performance ..u need to be fresh on ur feet and ur mind look at the fighters in other organsations they cant bring a good show .. its not the cheap fighters.. if u have fighters fight every month its ridiculous .. they're bodies are wore out they get hurt lot quicker ... ufc is correct on how they use the fighters thats why ufc is #1 and the rest wished they are #1

mirko wants to fight a lot. the ufc would only drag his career slowly. dream will let him fight every show he wants, just like pride. the ufc moves too slow because they have to put in cheap fighters.
