    I saw people says that shogun was bad with liddell. And said to that liddell is old. It isn't the problem. Couture stay there to prove that age isn't a problem. The problem with chuck was the unlook. He was better than Shogun.
    I thing that lyoto machida will win, but I believe that it will not be easy.
    And how said before, machida never lost one round at least.
    The tittle will be in Brazil.

    You do know that it wouldn't matter right? Machida's style will not let shogun take him down. Shogun isn't going to land head kicks PERIOD. The clinch isn't gonna happen PERIOD. AND Machida's ground game is WAY BETTER than Shogun's is. Machida beats the piss out of Silva all day. Silva has the same style as Rua (mauy thai and bjj).

    Machida is 15-0 against some of the best fighters in the world. He is the most elusive striker in MMA history and he's also one of the most accurate with his strikes. In his last two fights he completely shut down two previously undefeated fighters, one of which was for the UFC Light-heavyweight Championship. Did I also mention that he's never even lost a round on any judge's scorecard in any of his UFC fights?

    I'll concede that he's one of the few guys who has a prayer against Machida, but to say he's the favorite... WOW.

    SHOGUN LOOKED BAD BAD WITH COLEMAN, FORREST AND NOT A GREAT FIGHT WITH LIDELL (remember the age of the iceman?) SO I DON'T KNOW WHY HE THINKS HE CAN BEAT MACHIDA OR GIVING THE OPPORTUNITY OF A TITLE. I LOVE SHOGUN BUT HE WON'T LAST AGAINST MACHIDA !!

    here what looked bad. gassing against forrest - his skill level was clearly superior early on before he gassed. coleman... 2 knee surgeries.

    LOST TO forrest BUT
    only BEATEN by babalu

    I respect machida and am not rooting for shogun actually. i just hope that they are both at there best this is way more important than any brock or fedor or anderson fight

    Shogun is the favorite here,
    not sure that machida can keep shogun's kicks knees and punches at bay for 5 rounds - unless shogun gasses.

    I'm also not so sure that shoguns chin can be rattled as easily as machidas last opponents.
    Shogun has never been KO'd. machida is probably not going to out hustle him like forrest , or break his arm like coleman.

    maybe machida has some subs we haven't seen yet..... but I'd be surprised if he wants to roll on the ground with shogun

    First of all, I just love Machida and his style. But dont count out shogun please, he is also a skilled fighter and very teqhniqual. No one have cathed Machida yet and in my opinion Shogun has his chance in the first 2 round to do something unpredictable against the dragon after that his cardio is dead. If Machida finds his timing I also think shogun has no chance so he has to chock the dragon for this upset.

    yes I'll mark those words.... don't be surprise if shogun win... he might have disappointing wins in UFC but he's still one of the best in my opinion... don't discredit his accomplishment while he was on Pride... winning that grand prix was tuff

    machida all the way to the bank, sho gun does not deserver title shot, everyone in light heavies knows this, his best win in ufc was agianst chuck and since has retired, so how in the world do u expect sho gun to beat lyoto, no way. not gonna happen. mark my words.

    Rashad and kenny do not know what thy are talking about. Shogun has looked bad in 2 of his last three fights. Now all of a sudden he thinks he can beat Machida..wrong shogun...shogun had his glory in Pride the UFC belongs to Machida.....Machida wins 1st round TKO
