Sokoudjou: "I Should Have Stopped"

While DREAM.9's most controversial ending may have been the no-contest decision issued in the night's main event, UFC and PRIDE veteran Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou's (6-4) actions certainly warranted some discussion.

Sokoudjou delivered several ground-and-pound blows to opponent Jan Nortje (2-6) well after the referee had attempted to halt the contest.

On Friday's edition of HDNet's "Inside MMA," Sokoudjou admitted his behavior was out of line.

"There is no bad blood," Sokoudjou said. "Actually, [Nortje] is a really cool guy. We met at the bus on the way to the hotel. We were always nice to each other.

It happens, I think it shouldn't of happen but he was pumped full of adrenaline and just was in the rush of it all.His apology did sound sincere as well. Cut him some slack...as long as that kinda shit doesn't happen again.

And what in the hell is with this poster "Black Man"? It's okay undercover brother,he's still black and you are as well, we get it. Get the fuck outta here man, it's 2009. He apologized for his actions. He was amped up and wasn't thinking straight. after he calmed down he felt very bad. He even said he was a douchbag for not stopping..

Yea, he apologized. That's just because he was told to do so. He didn't feel bad about it. He did the same thing when he fought Sapp later. He was just trying to save face. He's a shithead thats all there is to it.

Soku is just a basturd. There's NO excuse for poor sportsmanship like that. Should've been DQ'd. But you know, really, he's just a mediocre fighter at best. Cane beat the hell out of him in his UFC appearance. Guess he thinks he a bad-ass, but he aint. And to the guy about the black remark: Because he's black doesn't mean anything. He's black... AND he's one of the worst fighter's in MMA.

Yeah, Sokoudjou IS an average fighter... and thats giving him a lot of credit. He has a big mouth, but not much to back it up.Machida, Cane and Sobral dominated him. Any average fighter in the UFC would destroy him... that's why he hasn't been back in the UFC after Cane destroyed him. He's just a jerk. He's always been known as a jerk ever since I first saw him. And he beat Bob Sapp: Yeah, so what? Bob Sapp is another below average fighter with a big mouth.
