Scolari has certainly taken a bigger leap into the unknown with his new job at the most ambitious club in Tashkent.
After signing an eighteen-month contract with Uzbekistani side FC Bunyodkor, Big Phil Scolari will now take home an annual pay packet of €13m
Scolari, though, claims there is more to it for him than fast bucks. "The financial aspect often attracts a player or coach to a distant country such as Uzbekistan. It is part of all this but, in my opinion, this should be considered one of the least important factors," he argued.
Scolari said he had consulted Brazilian Rivaldo, who has been on the club’s rolls since last year, before joining Bunyodkor.
